Every year, RollOnFriday readers are invited to rate their firm in the annual RollOnFriday Firm of the Year Survey, answering multiple choice questions on a range of topics.

This year the questions posed were:

Pay: How competitive is the firm's pay?
Development: How good is the firm at developing and promoting talented staff?
Work-life balance: How good is work-life balance at the firm?
Openness: How open is the firm in sharing its business plans with its staff?
Biscuits: How do you rate the quality of the meeting room biscuits?
Toilets: How do you rate the standards of the firm's toilets?
Social life: How good is the firm's social scene?

Readers are also invited to give comments on their firms.

The same questions were asked of Aussie law firms.

The results are collated and percentage results in each category represent the arithmetical mean "satisfaction" scores submitted by users (where "excellent" responses are scored as 100% and "very bad" responses are scored as 0%). Qualification: minimum of 10 responses. Overall score is a weighted average of individual category scores using a formula developed by RollOnFriday scientists (extra weighting applied to pay, prospects, balance and treatment). Total of 2,263 submissions included in results.
